Emergency Information

Once the trip has been approved then Faculty Leaders may recruit students. Leaders may use academic criteria for selecting students such as an essay, or GPA, etc. A minimum of 2 faculty are required to go on each program and participants are limited to 10-20 students.

NOTE: OTHER TRAVELERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY THE GROUP. ONLY TWO FACULTY LEADERS AND STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE CLASS ARE ALLOWED TO GO ON THE TRIP. (with the exception of spouses of Faculty Leaders)

Each faculty leader must complete an Out of Country Travel Memo that must be signed by the President and other officials. This must be completed before you travel abroad.

Also, the Study Abroad Office must provide a general orientation for all participants going abroad, therefore you must schedule a time for your group.

SERVICE HOURS:
All study abroad students must complete an equivalent of 10 hours of service in exchange for the funding they receive from the Provost's Office. For Faculty-Led Programs Abroad we require that the students participate in promotional activities in your department such as classroom presentations, bulletin boards, posts on social media, or other methods to promote study abroad programs. Please indicate below your plan to have students complete the service hours.
