Interim/Break Housing Residence Halls - Spring to Summer Application

Reminders for those currently living in the residence halls:

1. Non-graduates: If you are not graduating, you should check out 24 hours after your last final.

If you need to check out on Saturday, May 9th or Sunday, May 10th please let your hall staff know and they can work with you. There is no need to complete this application if you will be checking out those days, but you will need to get it approved by your hall staff before your stay.

2. Graduates: If you are graduating, the halls close for you at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 9th, 2026.

If you need to check out on Sunday, May 10th, please let your hall staff know and they can work with you. There is no need to complete this application if you will be checking out on Sunday, but you will need to get it approved by your hall staff before your stay.

What this application does:

This application covers a range of dates from Saturday, May 9th, 2026 (End of Spring Term) to Thursday, May 21st, 2026 (beginning of Summer Term for the residence halls).

This application is to apply for Interim/Break Housing for the residence halls after the Spring 2026 semester ends and before the Summer 2026 semester begins.

OR

It is an application to apply for any late check outs at the end of the Spring 2026 semester.

OR

It is an application to apply for early arrivals for the Summer 2026 semester.

Type of Housing Needed (Please note that students staying 5 or more days WILL be charged the full Interim Housing Rate of $345.00):

1. Interim Housing - is for students who need the entire period from Saturday, May 9th to Thursday, May 21st (12 nights @ $28.75 per night for a total of $345.00 if approved). You will have to move to temporary housing designated by University Housing and Residential Life as communicated by hall staff. Those who need Interim Housing should have had a spring assignment or have a summer housing application in the system.

2. Late check-out - is for current students living in the halls who need a day or two longer after Saturday, May 9th before checking out. You will have to move to temporary housing designated by University Housing and Residential Life as communicated by hall staff. The cost is $28.75 per night (if approved). Please be advised that if you need to stay for 5 or more days for late check-out, you will be automatically charged for full Interim Housing at a cost of $345.00.

3. Early check-in - is for any student that needs to check-in a day or two before Thursday, May 21st for the Summer 2026 semester. You will have to move to temporary housing designated by University Housing and Residential Life as communicated by hall staff. The cost is $35 per night (if approved). Please be advised that if you need to stay for 5 or more days for early check-in, you will be automatically charged for full Interim Housing at a cost of $345.00.
